The Altamonte Springs D20 Gaming Meetup Group

We are looking for players or DMs in the north Orlando area. New and experienced players are welcome - we can teach or learn. Any d20 system is welcome at this time. At present, we just want to find people interested in playing or running a d20 game in this area and help game masters and players connect. We currently run two Psionic D&D 3.5 games and one D20 modern game but our members are expanding into other tabletop roleplaying systems as well. In addition, we meet to socialize and discuss new or current games. So even if you aren't interested in the game we are running at the moment, don't be shy about stopping by to talk D20 and meet other local gamers. New members or lurkers: feel free to check our message archives to see what we are about. PLEASE e-mail our DMs before RSVP-ing "Yes" to a game in session. The whole purpose of meeting outside game sessions is so that you and the DMs in our group can find out if your interests match the games they are running. Use the calendar view and select the Sunday meeting at 5:00pm.

Please feel free to discuss your impressions of your first role-playing game or the first time you introduced a friend to D20. How did you come to gaming? What do you think would draw people in? What's the best way to teach a new player?
